Product Details

Supacure is a speciality Dry Curing Salt specifically produced for ‘Home Dry Cured Bacon and Hams'. It is easy to use and will produce a high-quality flavoursome Bacon in 5-7 days that both tastes and looks the business!

It is a plain cure so you can add your herbs and spices or add Demerara sugar to the mix to add a subtle sweetness to the product.

Used at the rate of 5% to the weight of the meat this 2kg pack is sufficient for up to 40kg of Dry Cured Bacon.

Instructions are included with the supacure.

Product Features

- Dry curing salt. 

- Plain cure.

- 2kg per pack.

- Contains Salts and plus sodium nitrite E250 and E252. 

- All our Dry Cures are produced by BRC accredited blending factories. The recipes are formulated, tried and tested, to produce end products that are well within the EC Regulations for residual nitrates and nitrites. Always use good quality meat and always follow the recipe and method provided.

I have cured my first piece of pork, which is now a beautiful ham joint, roasted it and we’re now in the process of consuming it! It’s delicious! I live in France and it’s not possible to buy ham joints here - I’ve even taken a photo to show my local butcher but all he did was to shake his head!! I am so pleased with the result! Meat is very expensive here, apart from pork, so this us a really good alternative to bringing back a few ham joints from the U.K. (Posted on 17/10/2018)

Really pleased with this product as after making my first batch of smoked bacon (using hickory wood chips on my BBQ), I am totally hooked. The whole process was really easy using a ziplock bag which I turned everyday and the curing salts did exactly what they were meant to do. Since I bought this I have never bought shop bacon again. This is far superior. Having used up my first pack my colleagues are joining me in a new order, as most of them have had samples from me. I use 4% by weight sprinkled on and leave in the fridge propped up for a week to drain. Exquisite. (Posted on 06/07/2018)
